Day 179...........No Bill to wake up beside.
3 Girls and 4 Suitcases.
It's always very strange when I wake up to find the bed empty beside me, after Bill has been to visit. It takes a couple of mornings to remember that he's not there when I open my eyes. But change is inevitable and I am so lucky that I got to wake up beside him for seven mornings in a row. Strange though was the fact that we both went to bed at the same time, which is something that rarely happens in Edinburgh.
Bill simply stayed on his Edinburgh schedule and was not as bothered by jetlag as most of us would be. He's usually up till 4-5am on his off-shift days and till after 6am on his night-shifts. The five hour difference when he got here just meant that he was going to bed around his usual time. Perfect for the quick turnaround of a flying visit.
I have had a couple of early nights since he left on Monday because I was down on my sleep with staying up a bit later at night. I am getting older, you know. Athough that brings me back to an earlier-blogged-about subject of 'when will I need less sleep?' Well? When?
Yesterday was quiet-very quiet. I did not leave the house except to put out some recycling. I'd like to say that I got stuck into my book writing but I did not. The day simply disappeared before my eyes and it was bedtime (10pm) before I knew it.
I didn't even sweep the floor, which had been on my mind to do because of the depth of the dust but as for what I did do? Who knows.
I did decide to freeze all the yummy scones that we bought because I had eaten one for breakfast and my insides told me that they may have been a contributing factor in my chest-pain. If not the chest-pain, certainly in the burping that has been going on lately. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was pregnant. Burping was always my first indication of that 'condition'.
What would be in the scones that would make me feel rubbish, Folks?
This weeks temp' is very cold. Windchill is keeping it at least ten below what it says on the thermometer but it's not for much longer. Soon you will be jealous of my weather reports.
The photo is just a wee look at what Mr D left behind. Not the mess, silly.....the Minion. It's a nice reminder as he waves at me as I sit here typing.
Happy Wednesday,
Much Love,
Lxx
