Day 170..........ABSOLUTELY BALTIC.

Day 170..........ABSOLUTELY BALTIC.
3 Girls and 4 Suitcases.
Okay, so yesterday was the coldest I have ever felt and it really was mind-blowing how nippy your face and fingers got in such a short time. I never did get really warm in Tim Hortons in the morning and even the shopping mall in the afternoon was not the roasting place that it usually is. It took me probably more than an hout to even peel off one layer. Eventually both my coats came off but my other four layers stayed put.
Alison did some serious shopping with her paycheck but she was very happy with her purchases. Jen got a pair of jeans that looked really good on her so a good day for both of them.
I am still needing to go shopping for Jens birthday on Thursday-time is getting short.
I almost called off our usual Sunday visit to the grocery store because of the cold. BUT we decided to go and we were lucky that the bus back only took a few minutes to come. I spent those minutes pulling up hoods and wrapping scarves around the girls because the wind was whipping around and I knew that skin better get covered up. My fingers were nipping like a swear-word when I put my fingers back inside my gloves and I was very grateful when the bus arrived. When you haven't experienced this type of cold it is difficult to wrap your brain around it to remember that it is actually dangerous. I haven't researched statistics but I imagine that frostbite may be more of a problem that I would have imagined.
Jen treated us to Pizza because there is one just across from the Grocery store and despite the cold, it was still lovely by the time we got it home-triple-bagged of course. So, we didn't go a Pizza-free week.......yet.
Not much to report except the cold.
Hope it was a Happy Monday,
Lx
