Day 5
3 Girls and 4 Suitcases (and very heavy ones at that!)
Okay, so some of you will already know, but for those of you who don't, I now have a new home-well, I will have come Friday-ish.
Lovely couple are renting us a 3 bed hoose only 20mins walk (7mins in the bus) from Ali's school and they have even reduced the monthly rent to help us be able to rent it. Now my hubbie will tell you that it was to their advantage to reduce, to entice me in but I like to think that it was because they liked me and knew that I was a good match for their house, which one day they plan to make their home. They have already given me loads of advice and I know that they will be helpful in all aspects of settling into Etobicoke life. Of course I wish that the rent was cheaper but Greater Toronto is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in and I think that our place, comparitively speaking, is a bargain.
It's only 9.15 and my eyes are burning to shut. I've been up since 5.20 and I'm wondering if the new life has a new time-schedule.
We moved from our airport hotel suite today, down to a wee scabby looking place near the lakefront. and only 13 mins by bus to the school. It has a full kitchen so that's the reason for the change of place as well, of course with the much less distance for Ali to travel.
She'll do great tomorrow. I am so proud of the way that she's handling all this. Her skin is playing up a bit-a sign that she's not as blase as she'd like me to think and she's consented to rescue cream and remedies to try to heal it. She's going to get the bus back here tomorrow by herself, just in case there are other kids going the same way that she can travel with and get to know. Her idea not mine, might I add. My independent Ali'.
Jen and I have our first employment on Wednesday. After Bill gave me the go ahead to rent the hoose, he sent a link for work.........to begin to help him pay the bills-lol. We will be making masks for the Toronto International Film Festival from 9-5pm, for a guy who's a member at the same rugby club as Andrew. Maybe it will lead to a wee bit more.
I am thinking that I am going to get cracking with work, though and am going to check out the locations etc for meditation and Reiki and teaching workshops on Bach and Reiki. I'm not forgetting about my plan of writing the book and screenplay, I'm just going to be doing both, I think. I love it all so why not fill up the days with stuff I love, especially for the couple of months that Jen's away in Vancouver.
Oh I could curl up in a ball........and actually, I think I must. Interesting thing about the Bach remedy Olive. It's the remedy for tiredness and so it helps you to get through what needs done withour being exhausted but it canl also knock ou out if you've been pushing it too long. I think it's telling me to rest since I finally made up a mix with it in.
Okay x-eyed and thinking that this may not be worth posting but don't have ability to reread it.
Lots of love, folks,
Lxxxxx
P.S I'm sure that there were a couple of really funny things that I was going to write,,,,,MMmmm? X
