Day 28.....and it's still morning here on day 29.

Day 28.....and it's still morning here on day 29.

3 Girls and 4 Suitcases.

The adventure continues today with a return to Ikea to find that perfect sofa.
The plan was always to buy second hand furniture and I'm still not aversed to that idea. What I am avoiding tho' is the threat of bedbugs which can be present in soft furnishings-yuk. 2 people within my first few days here mentioned not to buy things like used fabric sofas second unless I knew where they'd come from. Thus the reason that we still have nout to sit on. I suppose I really should investigate online whether I could buy second hand leather. It's wipable so maybe the bedbugs wouldn't live in leather........but there is usually softer clothy bits....right? yuk, again.
Alison has been researching centipedes because we have had a few of them in the basement and she doesn't like them. Actually, I don't like them either. Those 100 legs can get up quite a speed when you're trying to catch one to throw it outside. Turns out that they are very common in basements, they can bite you (bit like a spider-bite) and they can live to up-to 6 years.........but not in this house, with Ali whacking them at every chance.
Anyways, yesterday was day 28 and it was a scorcher. We had a wee 45 min wander around some of the magnificent properties in the area and then decided to walk to the Dufferin mall which was a mere hour and 25 mins away.........to buy some Pringles that were half price in Walmart. We managed to survive the walk, in the heat and even knocked 10 mins off the google map timings. Additionally to the Pringles, we bought a much needed alarm clock which has a radio and also a large digital face which I can see in the dark. It passed its test this morning at 0713 with flying colours.
After leaving Walmart, on the way to the subway station (good job Bill had to get home for going to Baseball or he would have made us walk both ways) we met my landlady, Vera who very kindly offered us a lift home. I'm glad that Bill got to meet her.
Last night was spent between catching up on some of our Fave tv shows and doing laundry. Now that I have fixed the seal on the Washer door, the washing is easy peasy and I picked up an airer to dry the 'smalls' on, so the laundry basket is empty again.
Did I tell you that it's cheaper to do laundry, in fact to use electricals in general between 7pm and 7am? Thus the laundry and dishwasher being used in the evening. I will see what happens with the charges and may experiment with one months doing the stuff during the day. I'm not being stingy-just frugel and sensible.......like my hubbie has taught me to be.
Blue Jays won again last night so Bill was happy when he arrived home from the game. It seems that Andrew's happy to go again on Fri so my next game won't be till Saturday as Jen is going to the 4pm game today, with her dad.
Okay, that about sums up yesterday so I shall say ta,ta for now and send lots of love out as usual. I have already sat outside for my half hour meditation, this morning and it's another beautiful one......perfect for another walk.
