Day 81.......and Alison is home from NYC-yippee. (oh, that rhymes)
3 Girls and 4 Suitcases.
I didn't leave the house yesterday until it was time to go meet Alison for 9.45pm and so there is not a huge amount to blog about.
I did some writing....the first ever on a Sunday and I also did some reading, some laundry, some tv watching (yep....Once upon a Time) and some colouring in. Colouring in? Yep!
My good friend Charlene gave me a beautiful (grown-up) colouring in book and I decided that I was going to use the new Sharpies, bought a few weeks ago and choose a picture to make beautiful. After I sat down, though, I decided to treat it like a mandala and colour in with my left hand, seeing what feelings came up as I was colouring.
Very interesting activity. Lots of insight into my current feelings and the quality of colouring in wasn't too bad either. Not as neat and perfect as it would have been, if I had used my right hand because then I would have simply been trying to do a perfect little coloured-in picture.
The only disappointment was that the Sharpies have spoiled the picture on the other side-boo hoo.
So, the snow began falling on a steady basis, yesterday afternoon but I really didn't think that it would amount to anything. When I got up and saw that everything was covered in white, it was a lovely surprise. It's wet stuff, tho' and it won't hang around for long unless it changes texture.
It was lightly snowing when I walked down to get Ali and when we both walked home. I wasn't mean and refusing to pay her bus fare, she wanted to stretch her legs and get some fresh air. It's lovely to have her home but my entrance hall and living room look like a suitcase has exploded in them-lol.
Admittedly, it was 10.30 before we got home and then she had to show me all of her purchases before bed, so I will cut her some slack....for now. If it's all still in here in a couple of days...not so much.
She's due in from school soon and will be tired after work from 4-6pm. I think that I may do some writing when she's at work as I have spent today up with Ross, grocery shopping and writing this. Oh and I did sneak in my lunch with a Once Upon a Time episode. It will actually be very sad when I get up to date with the show because I do love the back-to-back episode thingy.
And on that note, I'll close.
Much love to all,
Lxxx
P.S Happy Monday.
