Day 183......where is that leak coming from?
3 Girls and 4 Suitcases.
Yesterday was a day of cleaning and polishing and I do so love the end result, when all the laundry is hung-up, my bedlinen is fresh and the floors are dust free. Simple things, eh?
But I have told you all this before. Perhaps you thought I was kidding? Nope, happy as a clam when cleaning, I am :-)
Vera and Goran came round at lunchtime, to investigate the leak under the kitchen sink but, a bit like going to the hospital and instantly feeling better, the sink refused to give up the source of the wet cabinet. Ah well, I have just to monitor it to make sure it doesn't get worse.
They brought me a couple of mouse-traps, to catch my wee visitor who is beginning to get a little bit annoying. I am very happy to share my warm (ish) home with the little guy IF he stays out of sight and doesn't chew things but he nibbled his way through an empty ham packet, which I was saving for it's code for a free movie but worse than that, he nibbled his way through my one leftover piece of pizza, which I reached for to have for breakfast this morning. Good job that my eyesight is better because I spotted the evidence of box chewing, on the table, before I began munching. My old eyes may have missed that plus the evidence of the nibbled-pizza with missing cheese and that would have been just YUK.
So, tonight the trap will be set with some crunchy peanut butter and we shall see. Or perhaps I will give him another chance to stay out of my way. Mmm?
I successfully avoided the rugby score, as did Andrew who appeared after work, the back of ten to watch the game with me. We were Gobsmacked at the beating we got. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN????
Am I brave enough to sit through the next two games against the best two teams? I have paid for it so I guess I should support them although my positive thinking will not work after the fact. The next two games are not getting played on tv till 1am here so it will be a huge radio silence both days and either very late nighst or early mornings viewing.
Andrew headed home around 11.45, to catch the last use of his monthly pass before March hit. The TTC prices went up today for student tickets and passes. The tokens that I use seem to have stayed the same price and kids under 12 now travel free. I think there must be a better way to distribute the increase and kids don't need to be free but I am not in charge.
Okay-that's that for Saturday.
Love to all for the coming week.
Lxx
