Day 126.........A very happy Hogmanay.

Day 126.........A very happy Hogmanay.

3 Girls and 4 Suitcases.

Well, even though you will all be reading this in 2015, this is about yesterday and our Hogmanay and it was a happy day which began in my usual way and at my usual time.
I like to start my days in pretty much the same way and they begin with my gratitude exercise, where I work my way down through my whole body, saying thank you for each and every part of it, before I even get out of bed. It's a way to begin my day that I have done for months and will continue to do forever. It puts me into a positive frame of mind despite the fact that I have never really been a morning person.
Yesterday was no different and I was up and about and out and back from the shops, before the girls were even out of bed. Once upon a time, I may have felt resentful of this scenario but these days, I love my own company and I know that it is my choice to do things the way that I do them. I could have stayed in my bed till noon had I wished to.
Smiling my way, up Royal York Road, in search for my steak pie, I did wonder what the passing drivers of cars may be thinking, if they noticed the smile on my face, despite the heavy snow flurries blowing into it. I felt blessed and grateful for my physical body being able to swing its way onward, in my quest.
Even though the quest failed, in it's search for the desired object, it found some Cadbury chocolate fingers and thorntons toffee......both at half price. Whilst Ali wasn't fussed on the fingers, which were for her, Andrew was impressed with his toffee. The problem with cadburys chocolate here seems to be that the Canadian cows mustn't eat such good grass which in turn does not give the delicious stuff we have in Scotland-LOL.
Andrew found himself a bit behind schedule and gave a few reasons for it, when he arrived as dinner was almost on the table at 4pm. However it did sneak out, later on in the day, that he had not seen the morning and so that may be a partial reason for him not arriving at 3pm as planned.
Dinner was a combination of a delicious chicken pot pie, pot's and veg and mac cheese. Jen didn't like the pie and so I was glad to have done the pasta. Andrew was just glad to have two full dinners and also some leftovers to take home.
He is working today and so he headed home in the early evening.
Ali went out at six, to meet some friends. They had planned to go ice skating but the rink was closed so they just hung out at one of their homes. She came home after 11pm to see the new year in with us and with a strange idea of getting a couple of TTC transfer tickets at midnight. After initial resistance because it was baltic outside, I went with the girls, to the subway station and that is where we saw in 2015.
I had taken a little giftie from the foot of our little tree, with us and I gave it to the TTC worker who was 'maning' the booth. He was delighted. Random acts of kindness do make one feel very good inside.
I stayed up, hoping that Bill would show up online, after his shift and I was just about to go to bed at 1.30am when he showed up. bed was delayed till 2ish and I was pretty cross-eyed by then.
So, New year is here and I hope that this 2015 is great for all of you. I will likely repeat that tomorrow, forgetting that I have already said it.
Much Love,
Lxxxx
